This weekend was our relief society retreat. We went up to a cabin in Midway owned by our high counselman. It turns out our 45 minute drive ended up being a 3 hour drive because of a big accident that blocked off the freeway. We were adventurous and found another way through the canyon. We were glad to finally make it to the retreat and it was a great weekend we got to spend together as women.
On Saturday morning when we were up at the cabin we woke up to snow, but myself and a couple of other girls still wanted to go for a run outside like we planned. We ran around the neighborhoods and then started to run up one of the canyon roads. We found a steam pot off the road and went to check it out. One of the girls made the quick decision that she was going to go swimming in it and had her shoes off and was in the mudd pot. Me and the other girl decided we didn't want to miss out so we did the same. We swam around in the steamy water and then decided everyone would probably wonder where we were. After wringing out our clothes we slipped on our shoes and jogged about a mile back to the cabin. That will be an adventure for the books. I wish we had a camera. The hot pot was warm, but the jog home in wet clothes was very cold.
The weather has been pretty up and down here and I'm just ready for summer. On the sunny days I lay out by the pool deck to get a tan. We are opening our pool on Tuesday this week, so hopefully that will welcome the warm weather and we will get some good use out of it.
Sorry, no pictures for this post.
